No Data Collection
GrowthLens does not collect, transmit, store, or share any user data with any server, company, or third party. The extension has no backend server. All data remains exclusively on your local device.
What stays on your device
- Fetched post data from Instagram/TikTok (cached locally for performance)
- Your preferences (sort order, view settings)
- Scan history (stored in chrome.storage.local)
This data never leaves your browser. It is stored using Chrome’s built-in local storage API.
Instagram & TikTok API Usage
GrowthLens reads publicly available post data from Instagram and TikTok using their official web APIs — the same APIs their own websites use. The extension only reads data. It never posts, likes, follows, comments, or modifies anything on these platforms.
Permissions
All Chrome permissions requested by GrowthLens are used solely to fulfill its core function: fetching and displaying Instagram and TikTok analytics. No permission is used for tracking, advertising, or any purpose beyond the extension’s stated functionality.
No Third Parties
GrowthLens does not use analytics services, advertising networks, or any third-party SDKs. There are no tracking pixels, no telemetry, and no external data requests of any kind.
